You should try Riverstreet Sweets pralines in Savannah GA. They resemble penuche.

When I was in New Orleans, I tried jambalaya, chicken-fried steak, pecan pie, beignets, and a "po' boy" sandwich. I didn't know pralines were a New Orleans specialty and, apart from pralines-and-cream ice cream, had no idea what they were. I'm relieved, having read your review, that I didn't miss anything!
